Office Ergonomics Tip of the Week

April 23, 2008

This week’s office ergonomic tip is for those of us who where eyeglasses.

For most people, the top of the computer monitor screen should be at eye level. For those of us wearing bifocals, however, the monitor should be angled a little lower. This is to compensate for our tendancy to tilt our head back and read from th bottom of our eyeglasses, an obvious cause of neck pain.

It is important to find a high quality telephone headset that rests comfortably without interfering with our glassses as well.

Additionally, it is important to keep our eyeglasses clean and streak free. Anti-glare eye glass cleaner is also a help. Keeping our glasses clean will reduce squinting and headaches.

Stay tuned for more office ergonomics tips!
