When attempting to sit in an ergonomic position, it is important to pay attention to the position of your arms. Ideally, you should not have to stretch your arms to reach your keyboard. Your elbows should rest comfortably at your sides and you forearms shoud be perfectly paralell to the floor and your desk top. Wrists should be poised comfortably and properly above your keyboard, not resting on your desk.
Here is a video I found on YouTube, offering the same advice, among a few other tidbits:
Headset Express is proud to provide stellar service and quality products across North America. Our head office and families, however, are located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. We are always on the lookout for fun free family events in Misssissauga and the GTA. If you are looking for family oriented events to attend in the Mississauga area as well, a great online event source is Mississauga.ca. Among other information about the Mississauga community, Mississauga.ca features an online event calendar, which the staff and families at Headset Express visit often.
Have you ever noticed than when you eat better you feel better? Eating healthy foods that promote energy, bone health, and a proper chemical balance will reduce stress, head and joint aches, not to mention boost your mood and energy.
You can (and probably should) purchase items such as ergonomic headsets, chairs, and keyboards to help promote a more comfortable work day. To achieve the most bang for your buck, though, do not stop at investing in tools for your office. Invest in a healthy lifestyle.
I came across a very funny video on YouTube today; it was put together by DESPAIR, INC. As apposed to purchasing his increasingly disgruntled office staff relatively inexpensive headsets, this manager chooses a slightly cheaper yet much more creative way to deal with the collective downward spiral of demotivation and despair that his staff is experiencing.
A lot of the Headset Express Customers work, in one capacity or another, in the call centre industry. That is why I had to share this call center comic strip site by Ozzie, sent to me by a colleague.
